Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday said Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy would be summoned for questioning in the alleged sting operation case if investigators found evidence against him.
Responding to Kumaraswamy’s remarks, Kharge said the police would act strictly within the law and had no intention of targeting the Union minister. “Even if there is a shred of evidence against Kumaraswamy, we will summon him,” he said.

Kharge recalled Kumaraswamy’s earlier protests outside the police commissioner’s and DGP’s offices, where he had challenged the police to act against him.
On the alleged KPSC scam, Kharge accused Kumaraswamy of trying to persuade the Centre to involve Congress leaders, including him, in an Enforcement Directorate investigation.
