MANGALURU: The renowned ‘Vedanta Pre-University College’, Mangaluru, has announced that its free scholarship exam for selecting talented students for the upcoming academic year will be held in Karwar this time as well.
Students from across Karnataka are being selected through these exams, with free admission offered to top performers and scholarships awarded to others. The college, established by IITians and doctors, is recognized as Mangaluru’s first PU college run by professionals.
The institution has already conducted Vedanta scholarship exams in Mangaluru, Belagavi, Kolar, Ballari, and Chikkaballapur, drawing strong participation from students aspiring to join the science stream. The northern Karnataka round of the test is scheduled for November 16, 2025 (Sunday) at Shivaji Composite PU College, Chittakul, Sadashivgad, Karwar Taluk – 581352, said Vedant PU College Director Ramanath.
The 60-minute exam will focus on Mathematics and Science from classes 8 and 9 and is open exclusively to SSLC (State/CBSE/ICSE) students interested in the science stream.
