Bengaluru: Commuting between Davangere and Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has now become more convenient, with the launch of a new Flybus (Volvo Multi-Axle) service. Transport and Excise Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Wednesday flagged off the buses, fulfilling his earlier promise to introduce direct connectivity from Davangere to the airport.
At the launch event held at KIA, the minister also distributed snack boxes containing Nandini products to passengers, marking the symbolic start of the new service.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy recalled that during his first tenure as Transport Minister in 2013, he had introduced the Flybus service between Mysuru and KIA. The service was later extended to Madikeri and Kundapur. “Now, we are happy to see Davangere added to this network,” he said.
“Our priority is to strengthen and popularize public transport. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) continues to lead in introducing innovative services. The new Flybus service is another step towards providing seamless, passenger-friendly connectivity,” Reddy added. He also announced that complimentary Synax kits would now be provided to Flybus passengers.
