Mumbai, July 2 (IANS) Television superstar Rupali Ganguly turned nostalgic as she shared a fan-made compilation of her memorable on-screen moments with Satish Shah from the iconic sitcom ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’.
The video, created by a fan, revisits some of the most-loved scenes featuring Rupali as Monisha and Satish Shah as Indravadan Sarabhai.
Sharing the video on her social media account, Rupali wrote, “Miss him so so so much…….”
For the uninitiated, in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, Satish Shah played the adorable, witty and mischievous Indravadan Sarabhai who is the patriarch of the Sarabhai family.
Despite belonging to an upper-class household, Indravadan was often seen having a soft corner for his daughter like daughter-in-law Monisha played by Rupali Ganguly and often sided with her against his modern and sophisticated wife Maya Sarabhai, portrayed by Ratna Pathak Shah.
The show created by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Hats Off Productions, ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ originally aired from 2004 to 2006 and later returned with a digital second season in 2017.
The ensemble cast included Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan as Sahil Sarabhai, Rajesh Kumar as Rosesh Sarabhai, and Deven Bhojani as Dushyant Painter.
Talking about Satish Shah, the actor, apart from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, was known for unforgettable roles in films such as ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, and ‘Fanaa’, besides television classics like ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’.
For the uninitiated, Satish Shah passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74.
During the funeral, the entire cast and crew of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai from Rupali Ganguly, Sumit Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, Devendra Bhojani, JD Majethia, Aatish Kapadia paid their final respects to the actor by singing the iconic title track of the show.
Rupali was seen breaking down into tears as she bid him a farewell.
