Bengaluru: Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Sunday presented the 2026 Karnataka Rajyotsava Awards to 71 achievers at a ceremony held at Ravindra Kalakshetra to mark the 71st Kannada Rajyotsava.
Organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture, the event recognised contributions across various fields. Shivakumar congratulated the recipients and said their dedication and achievements had brought pride to Karnataka and enhanced the state’s stature.
He said their work in promoting the state’s land, language and culture would inspire future generations and urged them to continue their contributions.
Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi, Legislative Council Chairman Saleem Ahmed and Legislative Assembly Speaker G S Patil were among the dignitaries present.
