Bengaluru: Union Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday challenged Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh over his statement on an ongoing investigation, saying he would disclose details of the probe and question the government’s handling of the case on Monday.
Reacting to the commissioner’s remarks, Kumaraswamy questioned the progress of the investigation and asked what steps the police chief was taking and whose interests he was trying to protect.

He alleged that the state government was attempting to shield certain individuals through the investigation and promised to present details of the probe before the media.
“Nobody in this government, including the chief minister and officials, can touch Kumaraswamy. I will challenge them. They are afraid of me,” he said.
Kumaraswamy said he would explain how the investigation was being conducted and whom the government was allegedly trying to protect.
