Bengaluru, Aug 29 (IANS) A 34-year-old man, identified as Ravi, was reportedly saved by Hoysala-88 patrol personnel after he suffered severe chest pain and collapsed near a fire station under the Magadi Road police station limits.

Ravi was travelling on a two-wheeler when he suddenly experienced chest pain and stopped by the roadside. CCTV footage from the area captured the incident and showed him standing beside his scooter, clutching his chest as the pain intensified.

The 8.33-minute CCTV video shows Ravi struggling to remain on his feet before attempting to move away from his scooter. However, unable to bear the pain, he eventually collapsed on his knees.

Moments later, a Hoysala-88 patrol vehicle arrived at the spot. One of the personnel immediately rushed towards Ravi and began administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Other police personnel and onlookers gathered around as the constable coordinated with his colleagues and people at the spot.

The prompt response by the Hoysala-88 personnel is believed to have helped save Ravi’s life.

The video, shared by the Magadi Road police, has since gone viral on social media, with several people appreciating the police personnel for their quick response and timely intervention.

It can be recalled that on May 20, Hoysala cops saved a Bengaluru man attempting to kill himself over a family dispute. The police comforted and counselled the individual, providing emotional and mental support, and also spoke to his family to create awareness about sensitively handling emotional stress.

At 5.30 p.m., a woman residing in Nagarabhavi, in Annapoorneshwari Nagar police limits, called Namma 112 and reported that her husband, distressed due to ongoing family disputes between the couple, was attempting to die by hanging himself.

Namma 112 staff alerted the personnel on duty of Hoysala-85 from Kamakshipalya police station. Assistant Sub-Inspector Kemparaju and constable Hasanbasha reached the man’s house in 16 minutes, broke open the room door, and rescued him, who was found hanging.

The police comforted and counselled the individual, providing emotional and mental support. They also spoke to his family and created awareness about sensitively handling emotional stress and family conflicts.
