Dehradun, April 2 (IANS) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was paid a courtesy visit on Thursday by the ‘Rawal’ (head priest) of Kedarnath Dham, Shri Shri Shri 1008 Bhimashankar Ling, who also bestowed his blessings upon him and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state.

During the meeting, the Kedarnath Dham head priest invoked the grace of Lord Kedarnath and extended his blessings for peace, progress, and overall development in Uttarakhand.

The interaction reflected the spiritual significance of Kedarnath Dham and its close association with the state’s governance and public life.

Welcoming the revered shrine’s head priest, Chief Minister Dhami expressed gratitude for the visit and shared detailed updates on the ongoing reconstruction and development works at Kedarnath Dham.

He noted that the state government has been consistently working to enhance infrastructure, safety measures, and facilities for pilgrims visiting the revered shrine.

Chief Minister Dhami highlighted that special emphasis is being placed on ensuring a smooth and well-organised Char Dham Yatra season this year.

He said that authorities are focusing on crowd management, improved connectivity, medical facilities, and disaster preparedness, keeping in mind the increasing influx of devotees every year.

The Chief Minister also underlined that lessons learned from previous pilgrimage seasons are being incorporated into current planning, with coordination among various departments to ensure seamless arrangements.

He added that the state government is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims.

During the discussion, both sides deliberated on key aspects related to pilgrimage management at Kedarnath Dham, including logistics, accommodation, sanitation, and emergency response systems.

The growing number of devotees was also taken into account while reviewing preparedness for the upcoming season.

Chief Minister Dhami sought the Kedarnath Dham head priest’s blessings and guidance in further strengthening the state’s efforts towards development and public welfare.

He reiterated that the state government values the spiritual leadership associated with Kedarnath and remains dedicated to preserving its sanctity while improving facilities for devotees.
