Hyderabad: As many as 48.88 lakh voters have been found eligible for inclusion in Telangana’s final electoral roll following hearings conducted under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy said.
According to the CEO, hearings had been completed in 61.87 lakh cases by September 29. Of these, 48,88,076 voters were found eligible, while 12,99,368 cases remain under examination by District Election Officers.
Under the revised schedule, October 7 is the last date for voters to submit claims and objections. The process of serving notices and disposing of claims and objections will continue until November 5.
The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 9.
