New Delhi, July 25 (IANS) Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Harsh Malhotra said on Saturday that the country is appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sensitivity and dialogue skills in finding a solution to the students’ movement over exam irregularities.

Malhotra said that the manner in which the Prime Minister sought suggestions from the youth during the process of resolving the students’ movement was unprecedented, and following the resolution of the issue, the Prime Minister’s image among the youth has become even stronger.

“The youth of the country stood with Prime Minister Modi yesterday, stands with him today, and will continue to stand with him in the future because he has lived up to the aspirations of the youth,” he added.

The Delhi BJP President said that the provocative speeches made by opposition leaders, particularly Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi, with the intention of turning the students’ movement violent have exposed their true colours before the people of the country as well as the youth.

Malhotra added that the identification of more than 2,500 criminal faces through the police facial-recognition system in the Jantar Mantar area makes it clear that criminal elements had dangerously intruded in the agitation.

He said that throughout the duration of the movement, it was clearly visible that a power struggle was going on between Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi.

“While Rahul Gandhi did not hesitate to compromise the security of the Prime Minister’s residence, Kejriwal had been engaged in provoking unrest at Jantar Mantar from the very beginning,” he added.

On Friday evening, the manner in which Kejriwal posted a false video claiming that “the police will remove the protest site tonight” made it clear that they had no concern for the students; rather, they simply wanted to incite violence and defame the Union government.
