Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said he had not taken a single day off in the past three years, asserting that the people continued to be his source of strength and motivation.

Speaking at the Panduga Sayanna Jayanti celebrations, Reddy said he was feeling slightly tired but had attended the programme without showing his exhaustion.

“The people are the ones who give me strength and power,” he said, highlighting his commitment to public service.

The chief minister also said the histories of social figures such as Chakali Ilamma, Doddi Komuraiah and Panduga Sayanna had been erased or overlooked. He stressed the importance of remembering their contributions and ensuring that their legacy received due recognition.

Reddy announced plans to install statues of Panduga Sayanna and Doddi Komuraiah at Tank Bund, a prominent public space in Hyderabad.

Recalling the contributions of social activists and cultural figures, he said Panduga Sayanna, Gaddar and Ande Sri had dedicated their lives to society. He emphasised the need to recognise and preserve the contributions of such personalities for future generations.
