Los Angeles, March 30 (IANS) Lisa of the K-Pop girl group Blackpink is set to perform her first Las Vegas residency, ‘Viva La Lisa’. The show will be held at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for two weekends on November 13 and November 14, and November 27 and November 28.

The announcement makes Lisa the first K-Pop artist to stage a Las Vegas residency, reports ‘Variety’.

The residency follows the release of Lisa’s debut solo album, ‘Alter Ego’, last year, as well as a Blackpink tour last year and a new EP, ‘Deadline’, which was released last month.

As per ‘Variety’, Lisa, who starred in the hit HBO series “Black Lotus,” is also the subject of a documentary announced last year. According to the announcement, the film follows one year in the life of the singer-actor, in which she and the other members of Blackpink focused on their solo projects.

The documentary is directed by filmmaker Sue Kim, who helmed A24’s award-winning documentary, ‘The Last of the Sea Women’.

Lisa is a Thai rapper, singer, and dancer. She is the first non-Korean artist to debut under YG Entertainment. She trained for approximately five years after passing a YG audition in Thailand in 2010. Within Blackpink, she holds the positions of main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist. The group debuted on August 8, 2016, with the single album Square One.

Lisa made her solo debut on September 10, 2021, with the single album ‘Lalisa’. The title track and the B-side ‘Money’ achieved international chart success, ‘Money’ became the first song by a K-pop soloist to reach the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. She has also set multiple records on YouTube for music video views within 24 hours.
