Bengaluru: Bangalore University has awarded a Doctorate (PhD) to Vinod Kumar D Chavan of its Department of Communication.
Vinod Kumar, son of Damaji Mansingh Chavan and Veena Chavan from Ramatirtha Tanda in Indi taluk of Vijayapura district, was conferred the degree for his thesis titled “Social Media Intervention for Participatory Sports Management in Karnataka State: A Comparative Study of Facebook and YouTube.”
The research was carried out under the guidance of N. Sanjeev Raj, professor in the Department of Communication at Bangalore University, according to a university release.
Education experts and well-wishers have congratulated Vinod Kumar D Chavan on his academic achievement, recognising his contribution to research in media and sports management.
