Bengaluru: Bangalore University has awarded a Doctorate (PhD) to Harini B, a research fellow in its Department of Communication.

Harini, daughter of Mysuru-based retired Indian Railways loco pilot B.S. Balakrishna Naidu and K.G. Lakshmidevi, is currently an ICSSR doctoral fellow at the university.

According to a university release, she was conferred the doctorate for her thesis titled “Health Communication Strategies for the Adoption of Health Innovations and Behavioral Patterns: An Analytical Study with Reference to Karnataka State.”

The research was carried out under the guidance of N. Sanjeev Raj, senior professor in the Department of Communication.

Family members and well-wishers have congratulated Harini on her academic achievement, recognising her contribution to research in the field of health communication.
