Mumbai, July 3 (IANS) The makers of ‘Max, Min and Meowzaki’ have released the official teaser of the film on social media.
It offers a glimpse into an emotional story that explores fading relationships, evolving family bonds, and the complexities of love. The teaser also introduces a layered narrative where characters navigate distance, reconnection, and change, with a mysterious cat named Meowzaki.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much about the story. Instead, it shows small moments from the characters’ lives—talks during meals, road trips, celebrations, different viewpoints, quiet emotional moments, and meaningful silences. The presence of Meowzaki feels like a deeper symbol connected to human emotions.
Set in Mumbai with a monsoon vibe, “Max, Min and Meowzaki” focuses on small everyday moments that shape important relationships. The teaser suggested a story about change, belonging, and how people unexpectedly come together, with Meowzaki playing an important role in the narrative.
The upcoming film stars Medha Shankr, Siddharth Menon, and Vidhatri Bandi with stalwarts Adil Hussain, Mandira Bedi, Nasser and Nafisa Ali. Actress Samiksha Oswal and her husband Shael Oswal (entrepreneur, industrialist & singer) have bankrolled the project. Shael Oswal has lent his voice to ‘Max, Min and Meowzaki.’
The movie is written and directed by Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy. “Max, Min and Meowzaki” is slated to hit theatres on July 24. Veteran actress Nafisa Ali, who is currently battling a recurrence of peritoneal and ovarian cancer, is returning to acting with this project.
The film tells the story of a young couple, Max and Min, who are going through a difficult breakup. As they separate, they argue over everything they shared, including their pet cat, Meowzaki, named after legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki. While dealing with their breakup, both characters set out on their own journeys of self-discovery.
