Bengaluru: Kannada cinema veterans Malashree and pan-India actor Rukmini Vasanth are set to share screen space for the first time in the upcoming film ‘Mangalagowri’.

The makers unveiled the film’s title and first-look poster on the occasion of the Gowri-Ganesha festival, setting off curiosity among fans. Rukmini Vasanth is seen in a police officer’s avatar in the poster, hinting at a potentially intriguing role.

Rahul P K, known for directing Sakutumba Sametha, is at the helm of the project. The film is being mounted on a big budget and is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Hemanth M Rao’s Dakshayani Talkies.

The collaboration brings together Malashree, one of Kannada cinema’s popular leading actors, and Rukmini Vasanth, who has emerged as one of the prominent faces of the new generation.

With the first look revealing Rukmini in a cop’s role and the title suggesting a strong cultural connect, Mangalagowri has already generated considerable interest among Kannada film audiences.
