Lucknow, Sep 13 (IANS) Satyavati Mishra, wife of senior BJP leader and former Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, has passed away.

Satyavati Mishra had been in critical condition for around a week after developing a lung infection. She passed away late Saturday night at Metro Hospital in Noida’s Sector 11.

Following her demise, condolences poured in from political leaders expressing grief over her passing and offering condolences to the bereaved family.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Satyavati Mishra and paid tribute to her.

“The passing away of the wife of Shri Kalraj Mishra ji, a senior member of the BJP family and former Governor, is extremely heartbreaking. Humble tribute,” CM Yogi said.

“I pray to Lord Shri Ram that the departed soul attains eternal peace and the bereaved family members are granted the strength to bear this immense sorrow,” the Chief Minister added.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya also took to social media platform X to express their condolences over the passing of Satyavati Mishra.

“We have received the extremely sorrowful news of the passing of Smt. Satyavati Mishra Ji, the wife of the esteemed senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, former Union Minister, and former Governor, Hon’ble Shri Kalraj Mishra Ji,” Brajesh Pathak said.

“May the Lord pray to grant a place at His holy feet to the noble soul who has attained Golok, and bestow strength upon the bereaved family to bear this immense grief,” Pathak added.

Keshav Prasad Maurya also expressed grief over the demise, describing the news of Satyavati Mishra’s passing as “extremely heartbreaking”.

“My humble condolences are with the bereaved family. May Lord Shri Ram Ji grant a place at His divine feet to the departed soul and bestow strength and patience upon the grief-stricken family in this hour of crisis,” Maurya added.

BJP leader Dinesh Sharma also expressed his condolences through a social media post, remembering Satyavati Mishra and describing her as gracious and compassionate.

“It is extremely heartbreaking news that the wife of the former Governor, the revered Shri Kalraj Mishra ji, Smt. Satyavati Mishra, our beloved Chachi ji, is no longer with us. You were a woman of unblemished character, deeply devoted to dharma, always concerned for everyone’s well-being, and such a gracious homemaker who accorded equal respect to every person who entered the home. May God grant eternal peace to her departed soul,” Sharma said.
