Lucknow, June 28 (IANS) Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar, and a Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, on Sunday, once again targeted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, this time accusing him of discrimination in the utilisation of MP funds.
Rajbhar alleged that development works in Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency were restricted to select areas, while non-Yadav backward communities and Dalits were consistently ignored.
In a post on X on Sunday, Rajbhar said that the spending of MP funds in Kannauj had become a subject of discussion across the country. He alleged that development activities were focused only on “select localities”, while areas inhabited by communities such as Jatav, Dhanuk, Dhobi and Lodhi were left behind.
He further claimed that the Samajwadi Party had a “history of denying rightful share”, alleging that OBC reservation benefits had largely gone to Yadavs and Muslims, leaving several other backward communities behind.
Rajbhar said that due to such policies, members of extremely backward and Dalit communities were still forced into menial jobs, including daily wage labour, rickshaw pulling and working at roadside eateries.
He also alleged that two generations of these communities were adversely affected during the Samajwadi Party’s tenure, which he claimed weakened them socially and economically.
The Minister further accused SP workers of intimidation and said incidents of alleged harassment were being reported in places such as Moradabad and Banda.
Addressing Akhilesh Yadav directly, Rajbhar said that those wishing to leave the party should not be stopped through coercion. He added that if there were issues with him personally, they should be addressed directly rather than targeting others.
He asserted that he would continue to fight for the rights of non-Yadav OBCs and Dalits and would not back down, even in the face of pressure.
“Your party won’t be saved by thuggery; SP will break anyway. If you want to save it, first reform yourself. Then your party,” Rajbhar alleged.
